Executive Board 2018/2019: Call for Candidates
Central to Research School PLUS is the idea that doctoral researchers actively participate in all stages of the review and decision process. Therefore, once a year all doctoral researchers at RUB elect two doctoral representatives (one full-time representative and one deputy) of each research area (i.e. humanities, social sciences, engineering, life sciences/natural sciences) for the Executive Board of RS PLUS. They represent your interests within the core decision-making body of RS PLUS.
Now we are looking for candidates who are interested in holding office from April 2018 to January 2019.
Who can run for office?
You can run for office (full time representative and/or deputy) if you are enrolled as a doctoral researcher at RUB and if you are registered in the Database. Additionally, you should have completed the first year of your doctorate April 2018. Furthermore, you should not finish your doctorate before January 2019.
Responsibilities and activities
You will find all information on the function and responsibilities of the Executive Board as well as the current doctoral representatives on this website.
To become a member of the Executive Board you should enjoy working in a team, be ready to take over responsibility and be interested in supporting your doctoral community. As a doctoral representative you gain insights into decision-making processes in research funding and self-governance of our university.
For our international fellows
Since Research School PLUS is all about internationality, we really encourage you to apply. Please take into account, though, that the working language of the Executive Board is German. If you want to apply you should be able to follow the discussion in German but of course you are welcome to make your own contributions in English.
