Funding Conference Participations for Postdocs up to two years after completing their PhD
The Research School would like to support Postdocs up to two years after the completion of their Ph.D. to go to important national and/or international conferences in their fields. They can apply for a conference support up to max. 2000 euros per conference to present the results of their Ph.D. projects or their recent Postdoc project. The conference must have an international orientation and the Postdocs have to give a talk. Additional activities as a poster presentation, moderations, etc. are welcome. Postdocs can be funded twice within this programme.
With this funding line Research School supports Postdocs at the beginning of their careers acknowledging that only few scholarship programmes exist offering financial support for conference participations of national/international conferences for Postdocs shortly after completing their PhD. Costs to be covered: travel costs, accommodation, conference fees (please note that daily allowances will not be payed). Costs will be reimbursed on the basis of bills and receipts.
Research School PLUS supports early career postdoctoral researchers to participate in important national or international conferences with the aim to enable international research and foster lasting international networks.
The International Mobility Programme for Postdocs aims to support postdoctoral researchers in their early international career steps and to enable them in building independent research networks. Research School Plus wants them to be an ambassador for the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
Research School PLUS awards up to 2.000,- € for an active participation in an international conference. Postdoctoral researchers can be funded twice within the program during the first two years after finishing their Ph.D. Research School Plus covers travel costs, accommodation, conference fees (please note that daily allowances will not be payed). Costs will be reimbursed on the basis of bills and receipts.
Every postdoctoral researcher of RUB within the first two years after finishing his Ph.D. The conference has to be of great relevance for the candidate’s project and career. The candidates need to read a paper (poster presentations are not eligible for funding!) at the conference.
The Executive Board decides on all applications. The review process takes one month.
Candidates should have an excellent research profile and academic record and need to prove the relevance of the conference they want to visit for their project, their network and their career.
