|Registration: How to apply for jobs and for job postings targeted on the German job market but written in English? - all|
Venue: FNO 01/171
The workshop is in particular suited for English speaking researchers who are looking for a job within the free economy in Germany. Based on the fact that "the perfect application" does not exist, the workshop is targeted on transmitting the requirements that apply for today’s applications, what it takes to be successful with your application and how to deal with problems that might occur.
The workshop provides basic information as well as tips and tricks for successfully applying for jobs within the German labour market outside academia. Starting with information on how and where to find English job postings to preparing your CV and cover letter with the adequate density of information. Examples of the most relevant aspects will be given, and specific questions of the participants will be answered - always with concrete reference to the latest requirements and application trends.
The workshop is focused on the following questions and details:
Participants will have the opportunity to work with their existing application documents (please send a job application, CV and cover letter) in the workshop. Therefore, please submit your documents with two of the personally most important questions to Dr. Ursula Justus (firstname.lastname@example.org) by November 12, 2018 at the latest.
