Report My PhD project is about synthesising and analysing inorganic complexes as potential anticancer reagents. I had the opportunity to carry out some studies on the structure-activity relationship of a gold(I) complex that causes immunogenic cell death in Prof Kryskos' lab at Ghent University. The three-month stay was not only a great opportunity for me to learn more about my compounds, but also a great opportunity for me personally to learn techniques that we don't have in our chemistry lab in Bochum and to establish valuable new contacts.
