It features best-in-class education and networking for professionals. Additionally, Mireia also joined the Singapore-OECD Expert Workshop on PETs. Finally, Mireia took the opportunity to discuss with some of the attendees and speakers. Mireia met with professionals from business, public administration, researchers, and the legal industry. Speakers shared very valuable and insightful opinions and work experiences. Legal professionals provided insights into the regulatory landscape and the legal challenges of privacy, security, and cross-border data flows to enrich her understanding of global data governance practices. She also met with representatives from international organizations like OECD. Discussions with these experts focused on Privacy Enhancing Technologies for developing a framework for evaluating how PETS can address specific data governance and data protection challenges across various cases. A key highlight of Mireia’s trip was the interdisciplinary nature of her meetings. Interactions with experts from legal, academic, and private sectors provided a holistic view of the public domain she is researching, essential for addressing complex global challenges. Mireia's field trip significantly enriched her PhD research offering practical insights. This experience underscored the importance of interdisciplinary and international cooperation in advancing knowledge and addressing digital age challenges.
