| Report | This workshop idea arose from an international PhD work group on Ezra-Nehemiah that was created in 2022. Since then, we, Aure Ben-Zvi Goldblum (NYU), Natan Evron (HUIJ), and Maira Rehr (RUB), have met via Zoom every month to share our work and ideas. This workshop was the first event with a broader audience. We were able to gather experts for the archaeology of the Southern Levant in the Babylonian and Persian Era, experts for the ancient Near East context, as well as Hebrew Bible scholars working on the same material (Ezra-Nehemiah). We hope to continue this work by organizing more workshops in the future. |
