Report | In the context of this PR.INT package application, an international conference visit and a short research stay were conducted. Following the conference, I visited the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado for a brief research stay. During my stay I had the opportunity to strengthen my professional relationship with several highly esteemed scientists in the field of experimental fluid property research. Some urgent questions regarding the next steps in the planned measurements at the RUB were addressed. Additionally, through learning about the apparatuses used at the NIST, I was able to take a few things back to Germany to adapt for our own measuring systems. Furthermore, the contact with the colleagues from the institute provides additional points of contact for future issues and facilitates collaboration on future projects. Outside of the working hours, Boulder was a very nice place to stay with its impressive view on a beautiful rock formation called “The Flatirons” and many nice hiking opportunities. |
