Report | With the generous support of the RS, I visited The Kennedy Institute of Ethics, one of the worlds most prestigious institutions in medical ethics and bioethics. my research focussed on the question of how divergencies in the definition of death influence cooperation among nations. The Kennedy Institute was highly supportive to my work, both with the great help of the research specialist of the worlds largest bioethics library as well as through the intensive discussions that I had with its scholars, especially Anne Dalle Ave, John Keown and Daniel Sulmasy. While the research visit was a great step forward for my PhD, it was also the starting point for a cooperation on a paper on the topic of transplant ethics. |
