Report | In this project, we explored a new technique to make THz generation driven laser sources more efficient, compact and affordable. Two most important tasks that had been issued were development of Kerr lens based femtosecond cavity with Yb:CALGO laser crystal and usage of achieved high intracavity power and ultrashort pulses (<100 fs) to generate THz radiation in thin lithium niobate crystal. Lastly, a vast majority of optimization parameters were tested to identify the most efficient cavity design for highest conversion efficiency. |
