Report Thanks to the Research School's PR.INT funding, I was able to carry out a research stay in Barcelona during November 2024. Furthermore, it allowed me to participate in the XII Col.loqui Internacional Verdaguer, the most important conference on the Catalan poet Jacint Verdaguer, that took place from 14th to 16th of November in El Vendrell, Vic and Folgueroles.
Attending the conference not only enabled me to present my results regarding a comparative analysis of Verdaguer's epic poem «Canigó» and Àngel Guimerà's drama «Mar i cel», but also to deepen my network within Catalan literature by meeting leading experts there again (after attending this conference for the first time in 2021).
During the research stay at the Biblioteca de Catalunya, I was able to fill in the last gaps regarding the research literature for my doctoral thesis and make significant progress in writing two chapters.
