Report Thanks to Visiting International Professor (VIP) fellowship awarded by Research School, RUB I could make two visits during September 2024 to June 2025. These visits are of immense professional help to PhD students at the chair of Applied Laser Technologies (LAT) of RUB. We have not only published two research papers in collaboration with a PhD student but I also conducted his PhD examination after critical review of his PhD thesis. Under this collaboration I also participated and guided the research work of a new entrant student in the field of Laser Additive Manufacturing (LAM) of High Entropy Alloys (HEAs) and their peening using fs laser. The first results of this work was presented at a pertinent international conference in South Korea. Further work in the field is currently underway and we expect substantial outcome of this collaborative research. A major impact of my visits under VIP fellowship of Research School, RUB is that we have now worked out a long term collaborative programs at LAT and the research students are getting more exposure to international scenario of collaborative research. This will help the growth of the students and aforesaid field of research in its own humble way at the colossal global level. I would like to put on records my heart felt thankfulness to the Research School of RUB and its staff for supporting this noble cause of international collaboration in the world of scientific research.
