The research stay focused on examining how organizations institutionalize AI ethics to enable trustworthy AI. At the Centre for Future Enterprise at Queensland University of Technology, weekly open-mic sessions provided a platform for discussing research projects with fellow researchers and leading practitioners in the field of AI. In addition, several PhD workshops – among them sessions led by MISQ editors – offered valuable new insights into high-quality academic writing and research practices. Highlights of the stay included participation in the Doctoral Consortium of the Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS) in Canberra, the expansion of international academic networks, and exposure to the dynamic and collaborative Australian research culture. Furthermore, involvement in a research project with local healthcare companies exploring the use of AI to address loneliness contributed to the improvement of methodological, interdisciplinary, and intercultural competencies. |
