Lan-Tien Hsu studied Chemical Engineering at National Taiwan University before completing her Master's in Advanced Materials and Processes at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. She is currently a Ph.D. student in solid state physics at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Advanced Materials Simulation (ICAMS) at Ruhr University Bochum.
Alongside events organized by the Research School, Lan-Tien has participated in workshops covering Project Management, Scientific Writing, and Communication in Critical Situations. She also successfully applied for our PR.INT funding line, which enabled her to complete a research stay in Zurich and Graz.
In this interview, she shares how these workshops had a long-lasting impact on her academic journey and reflects on the new, sometimes frustrating, but definitely valuable experiences she gained during her visit to Switzerland.
