| Report | I have visited the group of Prof. Simon Aldridge at the University of Oxford for three months. It is a renowned group in the field of main group organometallic chemistry and especially known for its diverse boryl ligand based chemistry. For example they have established these ligands for the preparation of novel organometallic clusters. This research is very close to my Ph.D. project, which deals with the preparation and isolation of novel ligand protected metal clusters making this group the perfect place for my research stay. I have acquired new experimental techniques, enjoyed scientific discussions with researchers from all over the world and expanded my chemical and cultural horizon. aldridge.chem.ox.ac.uk |
