Report Thanks to the financial support by the RUB Research School PR.INT package option, I was able to combine the participation in an international conference with a research stay. The research stay gave me the opportunity to work with Dr. Eric W. Lemmon, one of the leading experts in the field of thermophysical properties from the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, CO. During that time, I gained important experience firsthand on different approaches to refine the development equations of states. These will influence my current and also future work positively. In addition to Dr. Lemmon, I worked and exchanged knowledge with other international PhD students and one postdoc, giving me more networking opportunities on top of the conference. Last but not least, I gained great personal experience outside of work as well as the area of Boulder is great for hiking and other recreational activities and the community is very open-minded and fun.
