Research Visit at the University of Innsbruck, Summer 2025 Thanks to the support of the IRB, I had the opportunity to visit the Unit of Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Innsbruck in the summer of 2025, a research group with a strong focus on both computational and experimental soil mechanics. During my stay, I presented the research of my PhD project and had the chance to engage in in-depth and stimulating discussions with the team and particularly with Prof. Barbara Schneider-Muntau, who will also serve on my doctoral committee. The exchange was both insightful and encouraging, and I appreciated the open and collaborative spirit of the group. It was a pleasure to visit Innsbruck: with the Alps just outside the office windows, the environment offered a unique combination of focus and inspiration. I'm grateful for the connections made during the visit and hope to return to the group in the future. |
