Thanks to the RUB Research School‘s funding for my Int.Mo.P. project I could attend several research-related events overseas in Canada, the USA and Mexico for an overall period of 4 weeks in June 2025. As a Post-Doctoral researcher working in philosophical logic these events were of great importance for me to make my research more visible and to network with senior and peer researchers that I do not get to meet regularly, since they are based in North America. Next to other research-related events, I attended the conference “Trends in Logic XXV” in Mexico City, where I had the opportunity to present my work and thus, to get extensive feedback from an expert audience. At this conference, which is one of the most important ones in philosophical logic, I could meet several researchers I already knew from other events but also meet many new people. Especially because some of them work on very closely related topics, this was a great opportunity for me to extend my professional network and it also resulted in two specific offers of collaboration, which is especially exciting for me. Overall, I am very certain that attending these events was a great success, that it helped furthering my research and visibility of my profile and that it strengthened important personal contacts for my future career in academia. |
