Report I attended the international cosmic ray conference (ICRC), a biennial conference dedicated to cosmic ray research taking place in Geneva, Switzerland in 2025. I presented my recent work, advaced models of cosmic ray acceleration at plasma shocks in a talk. I showed how time-dependent modeling can impact the expected energy spectrum at the shock compared to simple analytical estimates. I further discussed the possibility of so-called anomalous diffusion. Considering superdiffusion, the energy spectra will become harder, making the acceleration process more efficient.
Besides presenting my recent work, I had the opportunity to talk to renowned experts in the field and to broaden my network. In particular, I was invited to present at a symposium shortly after attending the conference.
