Report I attended the Digital Building Permit Conference 2025 in Vienna, funded by the Int.Mo.P. program of the RUB Research School. At the conference, I presented our article “Requirements and Challenges for the Application of Process Mining in the Building Permit Review”, co-authored with Dr. Judith Fauth (TU München) and Prof. Dr. Ronny Weinkauf (Merseburg University of Applied Sciences). The contribution provides a structured foundation for applying process-mining techniques to complex regulatory workflows in building permitting and outlines key challenges and best practices. This work supports long-term efforts to accelerate building-permit procedures through data-driven process analysis.
