The Tongji University was a fantastic place for me to conduct my research, especially in the lab of Professor X. Zhang. My fellow researchers were extremely helpful, and being world-leaders in the field of neural differentiation, could provide me invaluable guidance.
Shanghai is an intense place to live, and certainly leaves a lasting impression. The transportation network is outstanding, with general living costs being lower than German cities. I could never feel the pollution physically, however the sun does set a little quicker as its hits the smog layer. Learn at least at a basic level of Chinese to allow for shopping, as outside the university no one can speak English. Was fun! |
