Workshop in Presence (offered as online workshop if necessary)
This workshop is particularly helpful for researchers who would like to advance their skills in scientific writing for publishing papers and/or would like to advance their strategies and skills to write their doctoral thesis effectively.
Writing scientific manuscripts is rewarding but can also turm out to be a difficult task for the beginner. This interactive workshop gives assistance by facing the challenge of writing scientific papers or a thesis.
The participants will be guided through the entire process of scientific writing, step by step. The workshop starts with the first drafts of the scientific story, deals with the generation of figures and texts, and intensively discusses the contents and logic that reviewers expect from a good manuscript. The importance of interacations with supervisors and co-authors will be pointed out and, finally, problems with writing or publishing will also be dealt with. We will develop a toolbox that makes scientific writing much more effective an rewarding. This workshop comes directly from bench to desk.

Prof. Dr. Martin Wild finishes his PhD at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg and spend some time as postdoc at Oxford University. After he has been group leader at University of Münster and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Biomedicine he now is coordinator of the IMPRS "Molecular Biomedicine" and adjunct professor at the University of Münster.
