This workshop is particularly helpful for researchers who would like to get first insights into professional leadership skills and responsibilities.
The workshop aims to provide competencies beyond your research qualification. It offers a basic understanding and first knowledge in leadership skills. During the workshop you will gain insight into different leadership styles and can reflect your own understanding and attitude towards leadership. You will get to know some instruments of leadership and apply them in realistic case studies and short role plays. Thus, the workshop will prepare you to start approaching this challenging responsibility.
This course has been redesigned as an online course on the ZOOM platform and will integrate guided individual work as well as discussion sessions that will bring togehter trainer and paricipants in remote conference meetings.
The four units you will focus on the following aspects:
Leadership models - about styles, tasks and responsibilities
Delegation by Pleasure - how to open space
Coaching - about orientation and potential
Diversity – how to handle different personalities
Communication for Leaders - typical situations and tools
Conflict Resolution - a leader’s responsibility
