Physical Chemistry

Sebastian Kruss has been Professor of Physical Chemistry at Ruhr University Bochum since 2020 and has also been Head of a Research Group at Fraunhofer IMS ever since. He received his PhD from Heidelberg University and the Max-Plack-Institute for Intelligent Systems in 2011. After that, he conducted research at MIT and Göttingen. His research interests are photonics, nanomaterials, biosensors and biophysics.

He was selected as a Scout of the Henriette Herz Scouting Program in 2022.

The Henriette Herz Scouting programme is a great opportunity for my group to attract talented international postdocs. We are looking forward to getting applications from international candidates with a background in chemistry, physics or biology and an interest in joining an interdisciplinary research group.
