Building Research Networks Around the World

Activities under the frame of the International Realization Budget

The IRB gives funded doctoral researchers the opportunity to gain international experience early in their academic career. In doing so, they can arrange the individual activities entirely according to the needs of their research. In this way, the funded doctoral researchers can also use their budget to respond spontaneously to opportunities and invitations to conferences or research stays that arise through their international research.

Meet the IRB Fellows and Learn about Their Internationalization Concepts

All these PhD students have received funding in our International Realization Budget funding line since 2020. In their IRB blogs you can learn more about what they are doing research on and what exciting international research activities they have realized with their funding. Enjoy reading!

Funded IRBs before 2020

Before the IRB became an award in 2020, it was a classic funding line that had a monthly deadline and a similar review process as PR.INT. Here, too, doctoral students could apply for a budget of 7,500 euros for the internationalization of their research.
