Course Description

The visibility of academic research is becoming increasingly important - both for individual career development and for the relevance and perception of one's field. This raises key questions: How can I make my research visible to the right target audiences? Which channels and formats are best suited for presenting it? And how can I measure the success of my efforts?

This workshop focuses on practical tips, tools, and strategies to help researchers increase the visibility of their scholarly work. Participants will gain an overview of visibility-enhancing measures throughout the research and publication cycle. The course also introduces the basics of bibliometric analysis: What indicators exist? What do they reveal? And how can they be used to assess or demonstrate the impact of one's research?

In addition to content-based input, the workshop provides space for discussion, exchange, and joint reflection on experiences, challenges, and proven practices related to research visibility and science communication.

• Know which methods and tools can be used to increase the visibility of their research.
• Be able to assess and reflect on the visibility of their work using suitable approaches.
• Share experiences and best practices with peers.
