Walter Benjamin Fellow Dr. Kheyzaran Esmaeilzade

Dr. Kheyzaran Esmaeilzade was awarded a Walter Benjamin fellowship through the German Research Foundation DFG. In 2024, Kheyzaran used her Research School Writing Grant for International Postdocs and spent several months with Prof. Dr. Henriette Gunkel at the Institute of Media Studies to prepare her grant application. 

What I appreciate most about my experience at Ruhr University Bochum is its supportive and welcoming academic community. The openness of colleagues to share their time, advice, and experience gave me the confidence to pursue new opportunities and ultimately helped me secure the Walter Benjamin Fellowship. I am sincerely grateful for this guidance and encouragement.
