International Mobility Programme - Int.Mo.P

Funding Conference Participations for Postdocs up to two years after completing their PhD

Research School wants to enable international research and foster lasting international networks. For this purpose, the International Mobility Program for Postdocs support postdoctoral researchers in their early international career steps and allow them to build independent research networks. We seek to empower our grantees to become ambassadors of Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

With this funding line, we support postdocs to go to important national and/or international conferences in their fields up to two years after the completion of their doctorate. They can apply for a conference support up to a max. of 2,000 euros per conference to present the results of their doctoral or their recent postdoc project. The conference must have an international orientation and the grantees need to give a talk. Additional activities, such as as a poster presentation, moderations, etc., are welcome. Postdocs can be funded twice within this program.

We created this funding as an acknowledgement that only few scholarship programs exist that offer financial support for conference participations for early postdocs. Costs to be covered: travel costs, accommodation, conference fees (please note that daily allowances will not be payed). Costs will be reimbursed on the basis of bills and receipts.
