Report | The RS plus grant enabled me to present a poster at the largest congress focusing on pain. The World Congress on Pain was the 15th congress of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) and was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The topic of my poster presentation was the predictive role of pain intensity, mindfulness and emotion-regulation for depression. The subsequent discussions and the workshops offered a great opportunity to discuss my results and to develop new ideas. The special trainee workshops (“Developing a career in pain research”, “Your grant in review”) and the “mentor flash-style-meet-and-greet” were easy ways to network potential mentors in my area of interest. In summary, participating at the IASP congress was a great chance in particular for the last part of my PhD project. http://www.iasp-pain.org/15thWorldCongressonPain |
