Wirtschaftskolleg
Practical Dialogue on Non-University Career Paths
Wirtschaftskolleg offers an annual platform to doctoral and postdoctoral researchers where you can meet distinguished representatives from business and society and learn about the many possibilities of a career outside university.
What Does Wirtschaftskolleg Offer?
Wirtschaftskolleg offers you first-hand information and insights on career opportunities in business and society. Enter into a dialog with a panel of UA Ruhr alumni and HR experts about a career outside academia after a doctorate. The invited experts talk about their individual experiences, challenges and exemplify possible non-university career paths and are pleased to exchange with you on career opportunities.
Wirtschaftskolleg begins with a short, thought-provoking kick-off speech for participants of all subject fields. Subsequently, parallel panels for the humanities and social sciences, life sciences and natural sciences, and engineering sciences are geared to the specific needs for each group’s career planning features.
Who Can Participate?
Doctoral and postdoctoral researchers of all subject fields of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen.
The official language at Wirtschaftskolleg is usually German. However, depending on topics and invited experts, exceptions are possible.
Save the date: The next Wirtschaftskolleg will take place on 11 November 2024.
