Report | I visited Karl Ameriks at the university of Notre Dame (IN) from Oct. 20th to Dec. 20th 2014. He is a distinguished expert on Kantian autonomy and currently retired since the end of my project. In three meetings, via e-mail, in his class and by discussing his recent article I learned to understand and schematize the complexity of Kant`s theory of respect which is the subject of my dissertation. A summary of the results will be provided for discussion and subsequent publication. Additionally I gained new impulses and friends in seminars, colloquia, and in daily life. The experience of a catholic, international, and rich scientific community has enriched me greatly. philosophy.nd.edu |
