Report I participated at the Artificial Economics Conference, from August 29 to August 30 ,at the Alpe- Adria-University in Klagenfurt, Austria. The Artificial Economics Conference is a small conference with only 25 participants. In general, because it was such a small conference, discussions were intense. What added to this was the fact that all of the papers presented at the conference had already been published in a volume of the series “Lecture Notes in Economics and Mathematical Systems”, so I had read some of the papers and could ask more in-depth questions. The discussion about whether or not there is a trade-off between efficiency and equality and how it manifests itself was in particular interesting, because it touched one of the core issues in economics. In larger conferences, there is usually no room for discussions of this kind. I also talked to Prof. Klaus Troitzsch, who will come to Bochum as one of our keynote speakers in a workshop I organize in March. He confirmed he is looking forward to the workshop. I got two really good questions after my presentation. One inspired me to clarify an important point in the model description, which I changed in both of my papers about the model. www.uni-klu.ac.at
