| Report | The partial financial support from the Research School plus enabled me to participate in the International Symposium on Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) in Dresden. I got a chance to present the results of my thesis conducted in collaboration with the group of Prof. Dr. Avelino Corma (in particular, with Dr. Francesc X. Llabrés i Xamena and M. Sc. Ignacio Luz) from the Instituto de Tecnología Química (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain) as an oral talk. More specifically, I introduced our studies on the evaluation the catalytic activity of the newly prepared by me in RUB ruthenium-based porous MOFs, one of the most interesting and weighty projects of my thesis. It was very good training for me in presenting the research results before my thesis defense. In addition, it was helpful and interesting to get a direct feedback and positive evaluation of my presentation from many people including world-leading scientists in my field. Finally, the atmosphere of the Symposium was very inspiring. It was a perfect opportunity to network: I met and interacted with many Professors, PhD students, post-docs and even representatives from chemical industry.
