| Report | The topic of the PARTICLES 2017 conference was mainly dealing with simulation of granular materials. Many computational topics and techniques are covered by this conference. I’ve presented the results, gained from the work of my research group during the last year in the field of Lattice-Boltzmann-Simulations (LBM). I’ve also visited many topics related sessions where the latest findings and trends were discussed. In the framework of the conference I met many scientists who work in my research field and was able to establish new contacts to other research groups namely from Plymouth University, UK.
