| Report | Thanks to the funding by the Research School Plus I was able to travel to the United States for a three-week research. As part of my PhD project on Representations of work in the Museum I did field research on history museums. I visited various museums – mainly City Museums and Industrial Museums – to assess their presentations of work. Furthermore I met internationally recognized scholars as well as museum curators for expert interviews. Visiting a wide variety of museums gave me the opportunity to work out typically American features of museum culture. Interviewing leading museological experts allowed me to learn the latest standards in a variety of different aspects of museum studies. |
