Report Funding by RUB Research School enabled me to participate in 13th International Congress on Neuromuscular Diseases (ICNMD) in Nice (France) in July 2014. The ICNMD only takes place every four years and is an important congress in the field of neuromuscular disorders. I got the opportunity to present results of my Ph.D-project in a poster and as co-author of an oral presentation of Jun.- Prof. Dr. Rudolf A. Kley, head of our working group. Our proteomic studies revealed new insights in the pathomechanisms of myofibrillar myopathies, a group of rare muscle diseases, and attracted wide interest from other researches. In addition to many supporting discussions, I established important international contacts for my new research goals. Furthermore I participated in interesting workshops giving me new insights in the current stage of research in neuromuscular disorders. This congress was a great experience and very helpful and motivating for my further research work.
