| Report | The financial support of the RUB Research School PLUS enabled me to attend the 20th Annual Midyear Conference of the International Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association, which was held in San Antonio, Texas at the Westin Riverwalk during February 20-22, 2014. This conference is the most important international accounting conference throughout the USA. My research paper was selected for a concurrent session as well as for discussion and Q&A's. The comments were very helpful and constructive so that I am convinced enhancing my studies or building up my research based on these remarks can positively influence my future dissertation work. Besides that I got to know many researchers doing accounting studies from all over the world, leading to a great network that potentially provide the basis for future conference participations, research stays or other research cooperations.
