| Report | In November 2018 I attended the OSA Laser Congress held by the Optical Society of America in Boston, MA, USA. I presented my latest results about the generation of THz radiation with thin-disk lasers and received the outstanding oral presentation award. Afterwards, I spent 6 weeks in the group of Prof. Nelson in the chemistry department at MIT. I was able to contribute to their latest experiment, by looking at different theoretical aspects from a laser physicist’s point of view. The resulting improvements were successfully implemented during the last days of my stay. I will keep supporting their efforts from Bochum and our results are promising for a future publication. https://nelson.mit.edu/ |
