Report In Fall 2013 I spent three months for a research collaboration at the University of Vienna in the Computational Physics Group of Prof. Christoph Dellago. The University of Vienna is the oldest university in the German-speaking world and one of the biggest in Europe. The Faculty of Physics is internationally renowned and has a long tradition, Ludwig Boltzmann and Erwin Schroedinger - two founders of my research area - have been part of the faculty. The goal of my doctoral project is to develop a method that allows to efficiently study the properties of water by computer simulations. One advantage of this method is the ability to describe chemical reactions. During my research stay in Vienna I could improve and apply my method to theoretically investigate proton transfer reactions in water. I consider the time in Vienna a very valuable and productive experience. I could not only make substantial progress for my PhD project but also establish new contacts and develop ideas for future joint projects. www.univie.ac.at
