Report | The funding of the RUB Research School PLUS allowed me to extend my four-weeks research stay in Australia in October/November 2013, which was funded by the DAAD, by 10 days. During this extension, I undertook research visits at the University of Wollongong and at the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne. At these institutions I visited potential co-authors and research contacts; some of them belonging to the leading experts in my field of research. Both institutions are among the top-ranked economics departments in Australia and the Melbourne Institute is internationally well renowned. I was invited to give presentations in the research seminars at both universities. The discussion and the comments of the senior researchers in both seminars were very helpful for the revision process of my work. In addition, I used my visit to work on a joint application for a third party funded research project with two Australian researchers. www.uow.edu.au |
