| Report | Financial support from the Research School PLUS enabled my participation in the First International Symposium on Orchid Bees, which took place in March 2014 at the tropical field station La Gamba, Costa Rica. In this special symposium 34 scientists from seven countries were gathered for three days of interesting discussions and reports on their current studies. It was a unique opportunity to meet not only some of the first scientists that had worked on my study organism, but also to get to know other active researchers and their various lines of study. All in all it has led to many new international contacts and of course we also had a really great time. www.ucdavis.edu |
