| Report | I attended the 23rd Annual Congress of the European College of Sport Science to present a Mini-Oral about the muscle fascicle behaviour of the biceps femoris long head during the Nordic hamstring exercise. It was a well-received study and several researchers met with me during the conference to discuss how ultrasound images can be acquired from this muscle and whether it is possible to examine other tasks such as running. By presenting this talk at an international conference I was able to promote RUB’s Human Movement Science department by showing it has a wellequipped and growing lab and I demonstrated that ultrasound imaging of a hamstring muscle is feasible during a dynamic contraction. |
