Report | Funding from RUB Research School Plus supported my participation in the Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) and Gordon Research Conference (GRC) for Lipoprotein Metabolism which took place in New Hampshire, United States. Since the main topic of my PhD-project is investigation of the lipoprotein receptor functions in the developing brain, the topic of these GRS and GRS was very relevant for my studies. Participation in these events gave me a chance to: 1. Acquire a lot of new knowledge about lipoproteins and their receptors. 2. Present my recent data to the competent scientific community. 3. Get a valuable feedback and suggestions. 4. Learn how to be a discussion leader at the conference session. 5. Make connections for potential collaborations. 6. Get Post-Doc position offers for future. Overall, taking part in intensive and well-organised Gordon Research events was rewarding for me and my PhD-project, I strongly encourage young researches to join GRC in their fields. www.grc.org |
