| Report | Thanks to the Research School I completed a research stay at NIST in Boulder, CO, USA. My research focused on determining and analyzing thermophysical properties of algal biomass. I was introduced to new measurement equipment and techniques and profited from expert knowledge. I was also able to participate in gasoline and jet fuels research. This new, but interesting, area for me will result in two additional publications. Overall, it was very informative and my gained experiences and contacts at NIST will be valuable for my future PhD research. I am grateful for the support of RUB RS and happy to have had the chance for this great experience on a professional as well as a personal note. http://www.nist.gov |
