Report | We worked on our PhD project with low dimensional semiconductor heterostructures, namely quantum dots and wires. The RUB Research School enabled a research stay in the Todai & RIKEN Labs in Tokyo, chaired by the Top-Researcher in the field of lithographical quantum dots, Seigo Tarucha. We learned different applications for key measurements, like ultra-low-temperature or -noise measurements for different heterostructures. Beside we got the opportunity to join the EP2DS/MSS conference in Sendai. On the hand we got the chance to present our research to a wide international audience, on the other hand we had the possibility to catch the state of the art research from the main research groups. |
