Report | In this project, the participations of the applicant and three other PhD-students in an international workshop on plasma science, the 'International Symposium on Non-equilibrium Plasmas and Complex-System Science' in Japan, were founded. The applicants were given the opportunity to participate in a workshop bringing together several researchers in the field and to present their work in a talk as well as by a poster thanks to the financing provided by the Research School. Additionally, a guided tour to the Japanese laser fusion experiment, the Gecko XII was organized. It was also a good opportunity to personally get in touch with researchers that due to the distance are not met on more local, Europe-focused conferences and the foundation for a continued cooperation with the Japanese scientists was laid. http://www.osaka-u.ac.jp/en |
