Report | I went for one week to San Francisco to attend the 224th Meeting of the Electrochemical Society, one of the largest chemistry conferences in my field of research in the USA. I could learn a lot of the newest developments within the community concerning new developments and performance reports of electrocatalysts used in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell. Giving a presentation myself gave me the opportunity to present and discuss my research with the international auditorium. Additionally, I was able to cultivate my research connections and develop new ones. In particular the discussion of possible projects for my planned PostDoc position abroad was very important for me. Attending international conferences and going at least once “over the great ocean” to the USA is in my opinion an indispensable and very valuable experience for every scientist, and I am very glad that this opportunity was supported for me by the Research School Plus. www.electrochem.org |
