Report | Bacteria produce a multitude of bioactive molecules to interact with their surrounding environment. These molecules have found various applications as food additives or as pharmaceuticals. The International Realisation Budget allowed me to visit the group of Prof. Dr. Russel Kerr at the University of Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown, Canada. At UPEI I learned how to purify and characterize bioactive molecules, from February to April 2017, while also getting an insight into the scientific community of North America. upeikerrlab.de |
