| Report | The RUB Research School PLUS gave me the opportunity to present my research at the 6th International Conference on Porous Media of the International Society for Porous Media (Interpore) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA. Interpore is a scientific orgranization comprised of well-reputed scientists covering experimentalists, theorists and modelers in the field of porous media. Since my PhD project is focussed on the analysis of hydraulic properties of porous materials using numerical methods, it fits very well the scope of Interpore activities. I was able to develop contacts to colleagues working in the field as well as present my research to a broad international audience. This conference visit certainly has a considerable impact on my research career as it drew my interest for new research areas I am eager to explore. www.interpore.org |
