| Report | The ICCBM15 was attended by over 250 researchers from around the world and participants of the pre-conference workshop were hand-picked from a large number of applications. I just started my doctoral project three month ago. Especially at such an early stage it was very important to attend such a conference and workshop to get deep insights into the current state of the art of applied methods in my field of research. Additionally, I had the chance to visit the construction site of the European X-ray laser (XFEL). Starting in 2017, this worldwide unique facility will open up areas of research that were previously inaccessible. All in all, it was a great experience. |
