Report | The funding by the RUB Research School PLUS enabled me to follow the invitation of my co-author from the University of Wollongong to pursue the research on our joint project on the Long-Run Consequences of Early-Life Exposure to Radioactive Fallout in Germany after the Chernobyl Accident. The idea of our cooperation originated during our discussions at the 9th World Congress on Health Economics in Sydney in summer 2013. I was enabled to partici-pate at this congress due to the funding of the RUB Research School PLUS. Six months after our first talks I visited my research partner for a joint consideration of the preliminary anal-yses and the discussion of our empirical identification strategy. My stay at the University of Wollongong was very inspiring and fruitful. Within the project my coauthor and I have made very important and deciding steps. All in all, this research stay was a great experience both from an academic and a personal perspective. www.uow.edu |
